Natalya Henderson (she/her)
is the Michigan Deputy Director for Rise. A native of Detroit, MI, her advocacy journey began in high school, where she championed equitable public education amidst her school district being under state management. Initially focused on education, Natalya soon recognized the importance of policy in addressing broader issues, propelling her into a distinguished career in public service. Her extensive experience spans the nonprofit sector, all three levels of government, and her own entrepreneurial ventures.
Currently, Natalya is a Governor Appointee on the Michigan Committee for Juvenile Justice. She takes immense pride in founding the Sophisticated She Leadership League, a leadership organization dedicated to empowering young women. Natalya’s ultimate goal is to foster positive change and build a thriving community for future generations.
