Arin Anderson
is Rise’s Wisconsin Deputy State Director, an entrepreneur, and a community activist. Born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Arin’s organizing journey began back in 2018 while attending university to pursue a degree in education. While in school, she faced unexpected challenges that impacted her education and in turn sparked a passion for organizing. She began organizing with the Black Student Council as their Marketing Coordinator, helping turn her frustrations into passion and making a difference at her school. In 2020, she began her work with Rise as a student fellow, advocating for herself and her peers to have access to student basic needs and affordable education. Arin’s mission is to remain at the forefront of this fight until basic needs and higher education are accessible for all.
