The Hope Center for College, Community, and Justice is home to an action research team using rigorous research to drive innovative practice, evidence-based policymaking, and effective communications to support #RealCollege students. Since its founding, the Hope Center has published groundbreaking research on food and housing insecurity and college affordability, influenced legislation meant to improve supports for #RealCollege students, and hosted an annual convening – #RealCollege – to gather education leaders, policymakers, and #RealCollege students invested in changing college.
The Hope Center’s 2019 survey of more than 85,000 students at over 120 colleges and universities nationwide uncovered the following staggering findings:
