Elizabeth “Liz” Conn (she/her)
is the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Communications Advisor at Rise. Liz entered the advocacy space after an act of gun violence impacted her family directly, which led her to volunteer and lobby with the Brady Center to Prevent Gun Violence for the Gun Violence Restraining Order in California. After three years in the gun violence prevention space, Liz helped co-found Rise in 2017, taking on various roles including Rise’s Director of Communications and now COO & Senior Communications Advisor. Prior to Rise, Liz’s professional experience included a marketing role at Minerva Project, an innovative education company. Before Minerva Project, Liz was a Senior Associate at MediaLink, a strategic advisory firm at the intersection of media, entertainment advertising, and technology. At MediaLink, Liz worked with Fortune 100 brands and emerging technology companies on media and marketing strategies. Liz received her Bachelor’s from Columbia University and her MBA from UCLA Anderson’s School of Management. In her free time, Liz enjoys hiking, spending time with family, and relaxing with her husband and rescue dog Pico Robertson.
