Rachel “Ray” Esptein-Shuman

is a sophomore at Temple University. Originally from Washington DC, Ray spent much of her youth advocating for change on Capitol Hill. Starting in middle school, she became an intern and peer educator with Break the Cycle, a non-profit organization dedicated to ending sexual and domestic violence in youth. She testified in front of the DC City Council in support of various bills and spoke on numerous panels during her high school career. After completing an internship this past summer at the Network for Victim Recovery of DC, she is now spending her time establishing the presence of her new student organization “Student Activists Against Sexual Assault” (SAASA) on Temple’s campus.
