Maia Pearson

was the Wisconsin State Director of Rise from 2020 – 2022. She has over 10 years of organizing experience, including running a successful grassroots campaign for public office that focused on engaging young adults and communities of color. As a founder of South Madison Unite!, a community led advocacy group, Maia continues to organize around education, food and housing access, and equity in development. Prior to Rise, Maia worked for the Wisconsin Department of Revenue and the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County. At the Boys & Girls Club, as the Data Analyst and Accountability Manager, Maia worked directly with the community, government agencies, and local and national nonprofit organizations. Maia holds a BA in International Relations and East Asian Studies from the University of Wisconsin Madison, and speaks multiple languages.
