Abbie Slate
is Rise’s Michigan State Director and a senior at Central Michigan University. She chose to organize with Rise because she believes in students taking action for what they believe in and Rise has laid the groundwork for doing so. Education is vital to human growth and development, so Abbie believes working with others towards free or affordable higher education has allowed her to make a difference.
